A licensed Vinco tech visits and writes a clear price.

We dispatch a licensed Vinco tech, not a sales rep. The tech visits the building, scopes the job, photographs equipment locations and line-set routes, and confirms electrical service. You receive a written estimate by email after the visit.

Estimates for new installs and replacements (heat pumps, mini-splits, VRF, RTUs, boilers, furnaces, central air) are free. The on-site diagnostic for existing equipment is a different visit at $199 plus a $49 travel fee. Full rate sheet at /rates-and-financing.

The credentials

Authorizations that very few NYC contractors actually carry.

The reason we get called for installs on co-op boards, hotel chains, restaurant groups, and Class A office buildings is not marketing. It is the specific manufacturer authorizations and insurance limits below. Most NYC HVAC contractors do not hold all four.

01

Mitsubishi Diamond Elite Contractor

Top tier of the Mitsubishi Electric contractor program. Not the residential Diamond tier the manufacturer hands out broadly: the Elite commercial tier with City Multi VRF training, factory parts access, and the extended labor warranty. There are fewer than two dozen Diamond Elite contractors in all of New York City.

02

Daikin Comfort Pro

VRV factory training, parts access, and the extended manufacturer warranty path. We can pull warranty parts overnight on most VRV4 and VRV5 platforms, which matters when a high-rise condenser is down and the building is full of tenants.

03

NYC DOB Contractor #022359

We file our own permits under our own license. We do not rent another contractor's number, we do not subcontract our license number, and we are responsible for our own DOB inspections. If a job needs an alteration permit (Alt-2 or Alt-CO), we file it.

04

Sister company Metal Men Mechanical

In-house ductwork shop in Brooklyn: rectangular, spiral, kitchen grease, exposed architectural. When a project needs custom duct, we make it in-house instead of waiting two weeks for a sheet metal subcontractor. Most NYC HVAC contractors call out for sheet metal, which adds time, markup, and a hand-off where things slip.

We dispatch across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island from our Brooklyn HQ. After you submit the form, the dispatcher confirms your estimate visit by text or call.

After the visit

You leave with a written price, not a follow-up sales call.

We do not run commission-based sales reps. The technician who shows up writes the estimate and emails it to you. You decide what to do with it.

  1. 01

    On-site walkthrough

Licensed Vinco tech walks the building, measures the space, photographs equipment locations and line-set routes, and confirms electrical service. Questions answered on the spot.

  2. 02

    Written estimate

Itemized PDF with equipment, labor, permits, materials, and timeline. Sent by email after the visit, usually within 1 to 3 business days depending on scope.

  3. 03

    You decide

Approve the scope or take the estimate and shop it. No pressure, no follow-up sales calls. Estimates are valid for 30 days and locked at the quoted price.

  4. 04

    If you approve

We schedule around your operations and your building's freight and noise windows. We file DOB permits, produce COIs and alteration-agreement scope letters, and coordinate with the building engineer or managing agent.

Questions

Plain answers, no fine print.

The most-asked questions before requesting an estimate. If yours isn't here, call (212) 810-0915. The dispatcher answers 24/7.

01Is the estimate really free?
Yes, for installation and replacement work. Mini-split, central AC, boiler, furnace, ductwork, VRF, and rooftop replacement estimates are always free, written, and itemized. A licensed Vinco tech visits the building, scopes the job, and emails a clear price. No deposit, no obligation. The $199 diagnostic fee at /book-diagnostic is a different visit (it covers on-site labor to figure out why an existing unit is failing).
02How long does the on-site estimate take?
Typical on-site time is 30 to 60 minutes for a residential mini-split or single-zone install. Multi-zone, VRF, full-building, or commercial estimates usually run 60 to 120 minutes because the tech walks every floor, photographs equipment locations, measures electrical service, and confirms line-set routing. You receive a written estimate by email after the visit, usually within 1 to 3 business days depending on scope.
03Does Vinco install the brand I want?
We are factory-authorized on Mitsubishi (Diamond Elite Contractor) and Daikin (Comfort Pro). We also install Fujitsu, LG, Samsung, Carrier, and Trane. If you have a brand preference, tell us during the estimate visit and the tech will spec the equivalent unit on your preferred platform. If you don't have a preference, the tech recommends the brand that fits the building best (line-set routing, electrical service, controls, warranty path, and parts availability in NYC).
04Do you handle DOB permits?
Yes. We file every job under NYC DOB Contractor #022359 and pull our own permits (we do not rent another contractor's license number, and we do not subcontract the licensed work). If the install needs an alteration permit (Alt-2 or Alt-CO), we file it. Co-op alteration agreements, COIs at $2M / $4M general liability with a $5M umbrella, and engineer letters are produced as part of the project. Permit and filing costs are itemized on the estimate.
05Can I schedule an estimate after hours?
Yes. The dispatcher answers (212) 810-0915 24/7 and will book you for the earliest evening or weekend slot that works for your building. Estimate visits are normally Monday through Friday during business hours, but we run after-hours and weekend visits routinely for commercial customers, restaurant operators, and co-op boards that need to keep the building running during the workday. After-hours visits are free for the estimate itself.
